SOAR Training Overview

School of Outdoor Adventure Recreation

The 2010 SOAR has been rescheduled to March through August of 2011

This outdoor leadership/instructor training school prepares Christian individuals with the hard skills and soft skills necessary to lead groups in the wilderness ministry setting. Training includes backpacking, rock climbing, mountaineering, winter, desert, caving, canyoneering, ropes course, initiative games, counseling, program and leadership, debrief, a Wilderness First Responder certification, etc. The school starts each year around the second week in March and ends before the last week in August. Price is somewhere in the neighborhood (see FAQ) of $7,500.00 (includes all training, room, board, & travel during the school). Please call or email with questions. A YWAM Discipleship Training School (D.T.S.), preferably our Wilderness DTS, is required before attending SOAR. Our next school is tentatively scheduled to start March of 2011 and run through August of 2011
